About Department

To create competent Civil engineers with ethical values and social responsibility accomplishing societal needs and skill development in sustainable infrastructure development through innovative and responsible use of technology with a sense of humanity.

Department of Civil Engineering was established in the academic year 2007 – 2008 with an intake of 60. Subsequently, the intake was increased to 120 in the year 2010. The department endeavors to provide highly qualified faculty members and non-teaching staff members in all disciplines. The department is equipped with fully established laboratories such as Soil Engineering Laboratory, Environmental Engineering Laboratory, Survey Laboratory, CADD Lab, Fluid Mechanics Laboratory and Strength of Materials Laboratory.

Civil Engineering is the mother of all branches of Engineering. The department competes professionally with suitable and modern technological skills in the field of research and higher studies. Students learn and practice ethical, environmental and professional responsibilities for sustainable development of society and nation. Students are able to develop capability to utilize innovative and creative engineering skills in diverse career paths. The students exhibit their talents in various mind provoking events.

The principal educational objective of our department is to Excel in the fundamentals of mathematics, basic sciences, communication and Civil Engineering concepts to solve the real world Civil Engineering problems by imparting sound technical knowledge. The Association of Civil Engineers is regularly organizing seminars, guest lectures and industrial visits for the benefit of student community. Our Department has been a member of Indian Concrete Institute (ICI) with effect from October 2016.
